What Round Rock golfers are saying

Golfers from Round Rock come to us for training that translates to the course: more confidence, more consistency, and better rounds.

I went to Joey Mactal for physical therapy on my knee after a torn meniscus repair. Joey did a great job with my knee rehab, but he also gave me additional exercises to increase my flexibility and mobility for my golf game. Joey went above and beyond to help me. Thanks Joey!
Paul Rebman
I’ve worked with Joey for a couple of years now. The recommendations and exercises he has provided me allow me to play golf pain-free.
Vipul Gidda
My time with Dr. Joey is the best investment I have ever made in my golf life! I have spent untold thousands of dollars on equipment, memberships, lessons, training aids and what-not! All was done without a solid physical foundation. Dr. Joey provided a focused program with individualized feedback. Everything can be done in a short period of time. All you need is a commitment to follow the program, engage Dr. Joey and Just Do It! You’ll feel better in life and more importantly, perform better on the course!

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions from Round Rock golfers about our training approach and getting started.

What makes your training different from taking lessons at my course?

Lessons improve technique. We improve the engine behind the technique: mobility, strength, and movement capacity so you can actually get into better positions and repeat them under speed.

Most golfers don’t need “more tips.” They need a body that can rotate, load, and control the club without compensations so contact gets cleaner and the swing feels easier.

I've had back or shoulder issues from golf. Can you still help me?

Yes. A lot of golf-related back and shoulder flare-ups come from the body working around restrictions usually in the hips, thoracic spine, or core control. We find what’s forcing the compensation, then build the mobility + stability you need so you can swing with less strain and more confidence.

How often do I need to train to see results?

Most golfers do best with 1–2 sessions per week, plus a simple plan between visits. But the real driver is consistency: we build a program that fits your schedule and keeps you progressing without turning this into a second job.

Do I need to bring my clubs?

Not for your first visit. We start by looking at how your body moves and what’s limiting your positions, rotation, and control. When we do a swing-specific session, bringing your clubs helps us connect the dots between what your body is doing and what’s showing up in your swing.

Is Round Rock too far from your facility?

Not at all. Many of our golfers come from Round Rock, and the drive to Georgetown typically takes 15-20 minutes via I-35. We're worth the short trip for training that actually improves your game.
