Running Physical Therapy in Georgetown, TX

Don't Let Injury Keep You Off the Road

Runners come to us when knee pain, hip tightness, IT band flare-ups, or foot issues keep interrupting training cycles. We find what's actually driving the problem and build you back up to run consistently — one-on-one, for a full hour, every session.

What Happens When Running Pain Goes Unaddressed

You Keep Modifying

You cut mileage, skip days, and adjust your form until running doesn't feel like running anymore.

It Keeps Coming Back

You rest, it settles, and then it returns the moment you pick training back up — because the root issue is still there.

You Lower the Bar

You stop signing up for races, shorten your goals, and start accepting that your body just can't handle the miles.

What Runners Say About Their Progress

Runners often report training through full weeks without pain, hitting distance goals they'd shelved, and finishing runs without bracing or compensating.

No one better than Joey, he's helped me improve my game from a mobility and power standpoint. I will continue seeing him until I die or move far away! I went to him with a massive strain in my hip, not allowing me to swing the club effectively. Now I am getting it 10-15 yards more. I am very happy with Joey!!
Tyler Boer
Joey is awesome! He was extremely clear and patient with his instruction, breaking things down in a way that made sense and was easy to apply. Not only did he help clean up my golf swing, but he also helped relieve the back pain I was feeling every time I swung a club. I left the session feeling more confident, more comfortable, and excited to keep improving. Highly recommend Golfers in Motion to anyone looking to improve their game and feel better while doing it!
Beau Corrales
I went to see Joey hoping that he would help me with my back pain while playing golf. I got so much more from him: I am playing not only pain free, but his diagnostic and recommended exercises have helped my game more than any lesson or practice I’ve done before. I eliminated issues with my swing without even trying, as I was compensating for my lack of mobility. Highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you book a call.

How is running physical therapy different from regular PT?

Running PT is specialized around the mechanics, load demands, and injury patterns specific to runners. Instead of generic rehab protocols, you get an assessment and plan built around your training, your gait, and what's actually causing the breakdown — so you return to running, not just to "not hurting."

Do I have to stop running completely during treatment?

Not necessarily. Many runners continue some version of training while addressing the root issue. We work with your schedule and training goals to find a load that lets tissue heal while keeping you moving. The goal is a plan you can actually follow — not complete rest that creates its own problems.

How long does it take to get back to running?

It depends on what's driving the pain and how long it's been there. After your evaluation, you'll get a clear timeline with realistic milestones so you know exactly what to expect — and what progress should look like week by week. Most runners are back to full training significantly faster than with rest alone.

What if I've already tried PT and it didn't work?

A lot of runners who come to us have been through PT before. The difference is typically in how the problem was approached. If treatment was limited to stretching and ice, it likely didn't address the movement patterns or load factors keeping the injury cycling back. We start with a thorough assessment to find what was missed.

Do you take insurance?

We're cash-based, which means longer one-on-one sessions and a plan focused on outcomes rather than what insurance allows. We accept HSA/FSA, and we can provide a superbill if you'd like to submit for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
